As we continue to showcase great All Star Game moments we go back 25 years to relive one of the greatest players of his era, Larry Bird put on a show. Going into the 1988 All-Star Game in Chicago, Bird had already won the first two 3-point contests and was looking for the tri-fecta. This years competition saw him going up against one of the most underrated sharp shooters of the 80’s era Dale Ellis of the Seattle SuperSonics in the finals, and what makes this battle stand out is that Bird never even removed warm-up shirt. Many younger fans only remember Bird as being a 3-point specialist but he was one of the best overall players of his era and who had a competitive streak that was perhaps only rivaled by the great Michael Jordan.
