With the NFL going away from the tradition AFC/NFC rosters for the 2014 Pro-Bowl in Honolulu HI, we at Sports Q&A decided to join in on the fun by having our own fantasy draft.
Just like Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice, Q & A will be selecting players that will give them the best shot at bragging rights for the year. But Sports Q&A will be adding its own special twist to the draft by incorporating a fantasy point system.
Most NFL fans at some point have played Fantasy Football and can admit t hat it made watching games not involving their favorite team or player more interesting and if done on a national scale, this could be something that brings viewership back to a game that hasn’t been meaningful to fans in years.
Point Distribution:
1 point for selecting a player that ends up on the winning team
1 point for every 25 yards passing/rushing/receiving
5 points for a touchdown
But this is where it gets interesting… Normally in any all-star game, the offense is always at an advantage so the logical thing for Al or Quinne would be to draft the best offense and just hope they put outscore the other, but we will be giving a significant advantage to the host that doesn’t overlook adding defensive playmakers to their team.
10 points for a defensive touchdown
7 points will be awarded for every interception
5 points for every forced fumble
3 points for every sack
And what could easily determine victory or defeat for one of them a 15 point bonus for having the game Most Valuable Player on their respective roster.
